Technology plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality dental care.
It improves comfort, enhances precision, ensures safety, speeds up treatment, shortens recovery times, and creates a seamless patient experience. At Parker Dental, we invest in cutting-edge technology every year, setting ourselves apart from other dental care providers.
Our advanced technology includes 3D printing, CEREC CAD/CAM technology, digital impressions, CBCT 3D x-rays, and a digital interactive touch screen smile analysis, among other innovations.
Digital X-Rays
Digital radiography uses 40-90% less radiation compared to conventional film x-rays. Instead of traditional film, digital x-rays utilize a digital image capture device, which immediately sends the image to a computer. This produces a highly detailed view of the mouth, allowing for enhanced diagnosis and precise treatment planning. This means increased safety and improved accuracy for you.
Panoramic X-Rays
A panoramic x-ray provides a broad view of teeth, jaws, sinuses, jaw joints, and nasal areas. Unlike other x-rays, it is not used to detect cavities but rather to diagnose issues like impacted teeth, bone abnormalities, fractures, infections, and cysts or tumors. Panoramic x-rays are essential for providing accurate and trusted diagnoses, enabling the best treatment plans.
Intraoral Camera
Intraoral cameras, which are about the size of a pen, give dentists a clear view of teeth and gums. This advanced tool allows us to zoom in on small diseased areas, cracks, chips, and worn metal fillings, providing a detailed view. The full-color images are displayed on screens, making it easier for patients to understand their diagnosis and watch the entire process.
Digital Impression System
The digital impression system replaces the need for traditional, messy molds of your teeth. Instead of using putty to take impressions, this advanced system uses an intraoral scanner to capture precise 3D images of your teeth and gums. These digital impressions provide a more accurate representation, allowing for better-fitting restorations like crowns, bridges, and aligners.
Additionally, the process is quicker, more comfortable, and enhances the overall patient experience by reducing the need for repeat impressions or adjustments.
Cone Beam Technology
Dental implants represent the most cutting-edge solution for replacing missing teeth. To ensure the highest quality of implant placement, Parker Dental utilizes CBCT scanning technology. This advanced alternative to traditional CT scans offers a more comprehensive and precise view of the mouth. The 3D digital images allow us to monitor growth, diagnose problems, and perform implant procedures with greater accuracy.
Same-Day Crown Technology
Thanks to advancements in dental technology, crowns no longer require a weeks-long process. CAD/CAM technology allows for the creation and placement of a crown in a single visit. Using an intraoral scanner, the dentist captures a digital scan of the tooth. With specialized software, the data is transformed into a custom design (CAD) and used to generate a precise blueprint for manufacturing the crown (CAM). This results in a custom crown being produced and placed on the same day.
3D Printing
Our in-office 3D printing suite significantly enhances efficiency and opens up new treatment options. By reducing manufacturing times, we improve workflow and responsiveness to patient needs. Using 3D printing alongside other digital technologies like intraoral scanners, we eliminate the need for messy impressions and stone models altogether.
Telescopic Loupes
Our dentist uses surgical telescopes, also known as telescopic loupes, for most procedures. These glasses are equipped with powerful magnifiers, allowing Dr. Parker to see fine details that would otherwise be invisible to the naked eye, ensuring precise care.
Digital Smile Design
Ever wondered what your teeth might look like with brand-new veneers or an implant-supported hybrid denture? With Digital Smile Design, we can show you a digital preview of your proposed smile makeover before treatment begins. It’s like a test drive for the smile you’ve always wanted!
Ultrasonic Scaler
Our ultrasonic tooth cleaning technology enhances scaling and root planing procedures. The scaler’s vibrating tip flushes out bacteria below the gums with water, effectively removing hard buildup and calcium deposits. This process is more efficient than hand scaling alone, smoothing the tooth’s surface and lifting surface stains for a brighter smile.
Laser Dentistry
At Parker Dental, we use advanced lasers as an alternative to traditional hand-held tools. These lasers focus a beam of energy onto the problem area, allowing for more efficient treatment of gums and soft tissues.
Soft Tissue Laser
Soft tissue lasers are used to safely and precisely remove excess gum tissue or treat bacteria in gum pockets. By eliminating bacteria and reducing the need for stitches, soft tissue lasers allow the gums to heal and return to a healthy state with minimal discomfort.
